PNR Watcher

  • Recommended Procedures
In order to preserve the users, departments and rules created it is essential that the database is regularly backed up. At the most basic level the PNR Watcher/mdb file should be copied and stored in a different location at a regular interval. Ideally the database should be located on a network server that is automatically backed-up on to removable media on a regular occurence.
!! If you do not follow this advice, you could loose all the rules stored in the database. Navitas Solutions will not be held responsible for any loss of data. It is your responsibility to ensure your data is adequately protected !!

  • This section introduces the PNR Watcher user interface.

  • This section provides information on how to create new departments, edit existing departments and delete departments.

  • This section provides information on how to create new users, edit existing users and delete users.

  • This section provides information on how to create new rules.

  • Activating the [Expert] tab from the [Rule - Construction] area, provides a large free format text box allowing total freedom to create the appropriate xPath query.

  • This section will take a step by step approach to creating a rule.
TASK :     The aim of this rule is to search the booking file for Passenger names Smith or Jones or Evans where there is a DI-AC field of 12345 and there is an AF segment. If a booking file is found that matches all the rule conditions, a High Alert should display stating “ABC Corp MD Flying on Air France” and open the URL : www.airfrance.co.uk

  • Once the Rule Construction has been completed, each rule can be assigned with up to 3 separate actions to perform once the rule has been matched. Each action is defined on its own tab within the Rule - Action area of the rule maintenance screen.

Select the required tab and use the drop down list to select the appropriate action required.  The right hand side of the tab changes indicating the appropriate data required by each action.

  • Recommended Procedures
** In order to preserve the users, departments and rules created it is essential that the database is regularly backed up. At the most basic level the PNR Watcher.mdb file should be copied and stored in a different location at a regular interval. ** Ensure only one PNR Watcher database is installed for the site. Do not repeat the database installation. If the installation is repeated, and the new database installed in to the same directory as your existing database, all rules will be lost, and your database will be overwritten with a new, blank version.

Navitas Decoder Suite

  • The Navitas Decoder Suite consists of 4 tools, aimed directly at improving efficiency when providing GDS information to travellers/travel booker's.
Each tool is able to capture important information from the GDS, format and translate codes before placing it on the workstations clipboard, ready to be pasted in to an email, Word, Excel or any other document/system required.

Amadeus APIS Information

  • The latest version of APIS Information from Navitas Solutions is now a managed system delivering easy management of both APIS information and BA Fit for Five details. Further information on this tool can be found at http://www.navitas.co.uk/Products/APIS/Apis.htm.

The tool can be used to add, amend or delete APIS data from any Amadeus PNR containing live segments.

PLEASE NOTE: Countries and airlines have different mandatory fields. Specific guidelines should be obtained for specific Airlines or destinations.

Navitas Class Checker

  • The Navitas Class Checker is a robotic application that will check given flights numbers for availability in specific classes. Once availablility has been found then an email will instantly be sent to alert the appropriate consultant.
An administration tool is provided that allows you to manually enter the flight number, class and date to be checked, the frequency to check availability and also the email address to notify for each consultant.
A button is added to the GDS to allow Class Checks to be automatically added from a waitlisted segment in a booking file.

  • There are three components to the system -

    * The Class Checker Administration website - WEB BASED
This is a Silverlight Web-page that users can log into and enter the availability checks that the robot should perform.

    * The Class Checker Robotic Application - LOCAL INSTALLATION
This is a robotic application that will access Galileo to perform the checks depending on the frequency set by the System Administrator.  As a result the machine will be accessing Galileo frequently and therefore needs to be set up on a standalone machine that isn't used by a consultant (as when performing the class checks the Galileo session will be used - and therefore Focalpoint will not be usable during this time).

    * The GDS Integration Button - LOCAL INSTALLATION
This button will search the current PNR and detect any waitlisted segments.  These segments will then be uploaded onto the website automatically without the agent having to manually enter them.

    Pre Requisites
We recommend a standalone machine for the Robot
Sliverlight will need to be installed on all workstation (however this will self install if required the first time anyone attempts to access the website).

FlyBe Baggage

  • The FlyBE current baggage policy means that all agencies must prepay for their customer's checked baggage.
At present, this means that agents must take manual steps in Amadeus or go on to the FlyBE online baggage website to complete baggage proceedures.

With this new script we allow Amadeus agents to prebook and pay for customer baggage within the Amadeus booking process.
